DUBAI - The 8th Chief Audit Executive (CAE) Conference kicks off in Dubai today to discuss the profession’s future and challenges in light of the gradual shift towards adopting Artificial Intelligence in audit processes,
and the necessity to change the traditional work methods to ensure the sustainability of organisations’ success, maintain their performance and enhance profitability.The largest of its kind in the Middle East, the two-day conference on November 20 and 21 will be held with the participation of more than 300 chief audit executives from more than seven countries from around the world.
The UAE IAA Chairman, Abdulqader Obaid Ali, stated that the conference, which is held under the patronage of His Excellency Engineer Sultan Al Mansouri, UAE Minister of Economy, represents a qualitative addition to the UAE’s repertoire as a model to follow in the field of internal auditing due to fostering good governance and best international practices in this profession, which is of high importance to the life-cycle of organisations. He indicated that the topics to be discussed by experts and speakers during the conference can be considered as a roadmap for anyone wishing to upgrade their personal performance and that of their respective organisations in the field of internal auditing.
“Challenges are increasing and the profession’s stakeholders should get themselves prepared by acquainting themselves with the insights and latest findings of international experts, and by recognising that what used to work one way or the other in the past would no longer be applicable in the future; hence is the significance of the conference and the topics it raises for internal auditors in the UAE and the region,” Abdulqader added.
The conference is held under the theme of “Technology Redefines Internal Audit” at Rixos Premium Jumeirah Beach Residences Dubai.
