Buyer and seller highlights from the upcoming PATA Travel Mart 2019 in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan

BANGKOK - In just under a month, PATA Travel Mart 2019 on September 18-20 at the Korme Exhibition Center in Nur-Sultan (Astana), Kazakhstan is set to welcome over 1,000 delegates from over 60 destinations around the world.

From September 19-20, global sellers and qualified hosted international buyers will be engaged in two full days of face-to-face meetings facilitated through PATA’s unique business matching software, with over 10,000 pre-matched appointments in total.
Led by Europe and South Asia, more than 220 buyers have already registered across 46 destinations for this year’s highly anticipated event.
Registered buyers include Ameriasa Tours, offering holidays to more than 100 destinations across six continents from its headquarters in Malaysia; GetAboutAsia, a company backed by Intrepid Group that provides personalised and authentic travel throughout Asia for independent adventurers who still want the support of an experienced team of professionals; Hays Travel, UK’s largest independent travel agent with an annual turnover of more than £1 billion; Hudson & Parker, with a wide portfolio of cruises, group travel, wellness vacations, ski trips, and wildlife experiences to 128 cities in 42 different countries; Nanjing Tuniu International Travel Service, a leading online leisure travel company in China that offers a wide variety of packaged tours, including organized and self-guided tours, as well as travel-related services for leisure travellers through its website and mobile platform; and Beijing Spring Travel Service, China’s largest private travel services with more than 4,000 employees and offices in numerous major cities across the globe.
The event has also attracted more than 250 sellers from 32 destinations, who will be showcasing their best-in-class products and services from fine-dining experiences and 'photo-vacations' in Japan to heritage tours in China.
The Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (DASTA) will be promoting a new dimension of authentic and unique local experiences in Thailand including Yam-Khang, a unique Northern Traditional Thai massage with Thai herbal oil and heat from a hot iron provided by professional masseuses at Ban Rai Khongkhing Village in Chiang Mai; Takian Tia Village in Pattaya, where visitors can take part in learning the way of life of a coconut farmer from a bike tour to coconut shell peeling; Traditional Boating in Krabi, where locals will guide you to peaceful mangrove forests at Thun Yee Peng, and making 750 years old pottery with locals at Bor Suak Village in Nan.
Eco Team Pvt Ltd, a pioneering eco and adventure tourism company in Sri Lanka, will be showcasing numerous nature and wildlife experiences, romantic adventure experiences, and adventure tours during the event. Products that will be promoted include Mahoora Luxury Tented Safari Camps, Ahaspokuna Bush Walk Camps, Explorer by Mahoora, Big Game Tented Safari Camps, and Experiential Journeys Sri Lanka (EXJ), the DMC arm of Eco Team that caters to the needs of both B2B and B2C segments.
Premium Travel Mongolia, a 100% Mongolian owned travel boutique run by an all women team with a total of 45 years of experience in tourism industry, will be promoting tailor-made package tours for those looking to explore Mongolia particularly those interested in photography tours in a country of vast green steppes, snow-capped mountains, high sand dunes, pristine lakes and friendly nomads. These premium tours, with a sense of discovery and adventure, are designed to fit each traveller’s travel wishes and needs from a 4-day stopover to a multiple week journey across this ancient destination.
The Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board in India will be showcasing Pithoragarh, a lesser known tourist destination that is emerging as a favourite destination for paragliding and other adventure activities. While in Uttarakhand, adventure tourists can also go skiing in Auli or white water rafting and trekking in Rishikesh. Rishikesh is also a well-known destination for yoga and wellness in India, popularly known as the ‘Yoga capital of World’. Hundreds of Ashrams and Yoga centres regularly provide yoga lesson to learners.
For those interested in exploring Kazakhstan and Central Asia, SkyWay LTD will also be exhibiting at PATA Travel Mart 2019.
