Passengers spent 1,133 years delayed at Chicago O'Hare last year

FinanceBuzz  FinanceBuzz just released a new report  that uncovers how much time and money passengers wasted due to departure delays at 25 of the busiest U.S. airports.
We analyzed U.S. Department of Transportation data and calculated the collective time passengers were delayed in 2018 at each airport using the following data points: total number of departed passengers, percentage of flights delayed or cancelled, and time of average departure delay.
FinanceBuzz found that these are the 3 worst airports for delays:
  •  Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD): 1,133 years collectively spent delayed
  •  Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL): 991 years collectively spent delayed
  •  Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW): 872 years collectively spent delayed.
