The Drisco Tel Aviv awarded "Five-Star Superior" classification by the Israel Ministry of Tourism

TEL AVIV, ISRAEL - The Drisco Hotel has been awarded the highly prestigious "5-Star Plus" classification by The Israel Ministry of Tourism.

The official ceremony took place at The Drisco Hotel last Thursday, September 19 and was carried out by Amir Halevy, CEO of the Ministry of Tourism, Avi Zak, Managing Partner of The Drisco & Adi Nevo, General Manager of The Drisco.
The Drisco is the first independent hotel in Tel Aviv to receive the 5-Star Plus classification.
The Drisco joins a distinguished group of Tel Aviv hotels to receive the Ministry of Tourism's top rating, including The Carlton Tel Aviv, Sheraton Tel Aviv, Royal Beach Tel Aviv and Dan Panorama Tel Aviv. Prior to The Drisco, Tel Aviv's class of 5-Star Plus properties have been mostly chain hotels that boast huge occupancy and plenty of square footage to accommodate the required amenity offerings. That a boutique, smaller-scale property such as The Drisco can be counted amongst such established brands makes their accomplishment ever the more impressive.
"The Drisco team is thrilled to receive an award recognizing the dedication and commitment of our staff, who have created a true five-star hospitality experience in Tel Aviv", said Avi Zak - Managing Partner of The Drisco.
The Austrian company Ennemoser Wirtschaftsberatung GmbH, an experienced company with an international professional reputation, was selected through a tender process to conduct inspections of hotels for the purpose of determining their rating.
The European star classification system known as "Hotelstars" was chosen by Israel's Ministry of Tourism as the basis for the rating system. The Ministry then made adjustments to account for specific conditions in Israel, such as Kashrut laws, Shabbat observance, and security needs. The system classifies hotels from one to five stars, with the option to receive an additional plus (+) designation. The system consists of 270 criteria, including room size, lobby amenities, restaurants and quality of service provided in the hotel.
